Summertime…

Okay. So I’ve been a little lazy blog-wise the last couple of weeks. I’m sorry. I didn’t feel like it.

Things are busy as per usual. My Mom broke her ankle this week, so it’s changed the dynamics in our family just a little bit. I now cook. As to whether this is good or bad – I don’t know. My Auntie Rita brought food to our house for supper tonight. I somebody not telling me something?

Mom did a great job of breaking her ankle. She broke it in two places. Slipping on a rock. And falling into her pond. She walked on it for the rest of the day and only decided to get it x-rayed the following day. And now she has to go back to the doctor on Tuesday to see if it needs a pin. She does everything well – and this is no exception.

My Grandpa’s in the hospital, too. But he should be out after the weekend. It’s just an infection. He’s had it before. I went to bring him some of his things from the nursing home this afternoon and he was his chipper goofy self. So, that’s excellent.

Work. Don’t get me started. Let’s just say that this is my last summer working out here…

Other than that, the time is flying by. I’ve been home almost two weeks already! And I’ve been working lots. I’m just counting down the days ’til August 1st, when I get to travel down to California and various other places Stateside for 2 weeks! Woo hoo!

I’m staying out here until Labor Day, and then I must head back west. And then I’ve got to figure out what my next plan of attack is after another Vancouver year. Staying out ther would be nice, but only time will tell if that happens.

I’ve got to get to bed. Getting up at 7:00 am everyday is not good in Nicole’s world. And that is why I’m a singer. We work nights.
