Today is my Great Grandma’s 100th birthday.
Isn’t that amazing?
Today she will be honoured by her friends and family. Today she will be celebrated.
She was born in 1913 in Russia, and immigrated to Canada sometime after World War I. I’ve seen the original passport she used to cross over.
She had nine children and she lived on her own and gardened until well into her 90s.
She always has a big smile on her face and loves having company. She treasures each one of her family members and is much loved by her friends.
Think of all she’s seen. All of the changes she’s witnessed.
Today we not only celebrate a milestone; today we celebrate a life well-lived.
